YOUR GUIDE: Greg Thomson
Gregs passion for guiding people in the outdoors began while studying ecology
and outdoor pursuits. After completion he then travelled extensively which led him to
many corners of the globe, including the Himalayas, the Camino de Santiago,
Englands Coast to Coast, the Pennine Way, Kerry and Dingle Ways amongst
others.
He has guided and led trips in Europe and ran an outdoors centre while living in
Ireland.
He has been a walk and sea kayak guide in The Abel Tasman NP, the senior
nature guide for Wilderness Lodges Ltd and is currently the operations manager for
Adventure Tours Downunder and Sounds Wild Sea kayaking.
His philosophy is quite simple " I believe in going that one step further for the guest
which in turn enhances their overall enjoyment of their experience in New Zealand".
