Queen Charlotte Track Unguided Walks

4 Or 5 Day Unguided Walk Package
If you enjoy the freedom of walking, taking in the sights at your own pace but would like
the hassle free element of having all aspects of the walk prearranged then this is the
option for you.
An information pack will be provided filled with facts and info including a detailed map for
making your walk as easy and accessible as possible. Our staff will collect you from
your accommodation in Picton, give you your packed lunch and water bottle for the day
and drop you off at the water taxi and will be there when you return to take you back to
your accommodation at the end of your walk.
The Queen Charlotte track which takes in 71 km's of beautiful, unique New Zealand
coastline is walked over 4 days. Our package includes the boat trip to the start of the
track at Ships Cove, stopping on the way to visit Motuara Island, a predator free,
protected home to many rare native birds.
Your overnight luggage is transferred daily by water taxi and if you decide you would like
a break from walking on one of the days then the option of going by water taxi is
available at an additional cost.
Accommodation on the track is of a very high standard and all have en suite rooms with
sea views and private balconies. Evening meals are three courses, continental
breakfasts and wholesome packed lunches are included. Accommodation is the same
as the guided walks.
The 5 Day Package includes a second night at Portage Resort and is perfect for those
looking to extend their walking holiday and enjoy an extra day in the Marlborough
Sounds. At Portage there are many activities to choose from to keep you occupied such
as sea kayaking, swimming, boating, or maybe just putting your feet up for the day and
relaxing in this peaceful area.
