Terms and Conditions
Booking Policy: $200NZ per person deposit required on booking for all multi-day independent packages and is non refundable if the booking is cancelled outside of one month prior to departure.
Cancellation Policy: No refunds for multi-day independent packages if cancelled within 14 days of travel; 50% of total refundable if cancelled within one month of departure less the $200NZ per person deposit.
Remaining Balance Policy: All remaining balances for bookings are due four weeks prior to a walk departure. If we have not received the remaining balance for a confirmed booking within four weeks of the walk departure date we reserve the right to process the payment for the remaining balance from the credit card given at the time of booking.
Group bookings (10+ pax) changes or cancellations –
Please note: Additional costs not included in our packages are any extra water taxi transfers that guests may take from lodge to lodge if they do not choose to walk a particular section of the track and any drinks that guests may have at the lodges. Drinks such as wine, beer, soft drink, espresso coffee can be purchased at the lodges by either credit card or cash. An additional single supplement only applies to single walkers that have their own room each night on the walk.
Track closure due to fire risk policy. If a section or sections of the track are temporarily closed due to fire risk your booking will still proceed for the dates that you have booked. In the event that it is not possible to walk a temporarily closed section of the track due to the fire risk you will be transported around this section to your next nights pre booked accommodation. This may incur an additional cost which is at the discretion of Natural Encounters Walks. It is not possible to alter your booking dates due to temporarily closed sections of the track.

Unguided Walks - A minimum of two is required for an unguided walk to depart.
Luggage Size Limit
The lodge managers along with the water taxi company request that you limit your overnight luggage to one suitcase/bag per person with a maximum of 15kg's per item.

- Up to 60 days prior to arrival, bookings can be amended or cancelled with no penalty
- 60 – 30 days prior to arrival, bookings can be amended
- Less than 30 days prior to departure, booking changes or cancellations will incur a cancellation fee of 100%
